Job Description:

Providers will offer additional practice and reinforcement of what is taught in school, helping to solidify understanding and retention of material. Academic support through tutoring provides personalized assistance to help students understand difficult subjects, improve their grades, and achieve academic success. It caters to the specific needs and learning styles of each student, allowing for a tailored approach that is often not possible in a classroom setting.

Qualifications:

  • Providers must be certified teachers qualified to teach the subject in which the child requires tutoring.
  • Ability to incorporate evidence-based educational strategies that improve student achievement.

Parenting Education & Class Services

Job Description:

Providers will develop trainings, programs, or other intervention mechanisms to help parents acquire the skills needed to improve their parenting and communication with their children. The goal is to reduce the risk of child maltreatment and/or decrease child disruptive behaviors. Parent education can be delivered individually, in groups, in the home, in a classroom, or other settings as determined by the provider.

Qualifications:

  • Provider should have a solid theoretical foundation along with practical experience in the classroom or in working with families and groups in various settings.
  • When qualifications are not prescribed in the model, the following shall be considered minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or related field OR Associate degree with one-year experience as a parenting educator.

Homemaking Services

Job Description:

Homemaking services aim to enhance the quality of life for families by ensuring their living environment is clean, safe, and comfortable, while also promoting independence and well-being. The provider will teach families how to maintain their homes, care for their children, and manage their daily lives. These services include a wide range of support activities such as house cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, budgeting, child potty training and much more.

Qualifications:

  • Good communication skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Basic knowledge of homemaking roles and responsibilities.
  • Overall understanding of various cultures and practices.
